Vice President

Mayank Kumar, Harvard Divinity School

Mayank Kumar (he/him) is a second-year at Harvard Divinity School pursuing a Master of Theological Studies in Religion, Ethics, and Politics. Growing up in India and moving abroad to the United States for higher education, he finished his BA in Religion and Political Science in 2021 at Denison University in Granville, OH. He is compelled to explore the intersection of religion and politics because it is in this intersection that one can find not only the greatest despair but also the most powerful hope in humanity. He is passionate about democracy, religious literacy, and critical theory.

At HDS, Mayank has been actively involved as a Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Life and as a student editor of the Harvard Divinity Journal. After graduating in May 2023, he hopes to gain relevant work experience in research or organizing and eventually pursue a Ph.D.

At Harvard, you can find him doing homework at Lamont, scootering around campus on his Segway, or drinking coffee by the Charles.
