Joshua Freundel, Harvard Law School

Joshua “Jo Jo” Freundel is a 3L at Harvard Law School. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, having studied philosophy, economics and business management. He has been passionate about the law for over a decade. After high school he spent two years in Jerusalem studying Jewish law and philosophy. In undergrad he chaired an initiative to rewrite the student government constitution, comprising five different governing boards and numerous student organizations. He has also worked in securities law, on both the transactional and litigation sides. He is interested in practical scholarship related to the many ways that law serves as a nexus between disparate fields.

At the law school he serves as a member of the Student Funding Board, the Prison Legal Assistance Project, and the Law and Philosophy Society.

When not doing law stuff, Jo Jo is an avid traveler. He has been to 39 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and 21 U.S. National Parks. He speaks fluent Hebrew and intermediate Spanish, and is (slowly) learning German.
