Prabhroop Chawla. Harvard Divinity School
Prabhroop Chawla is a second year MTS Student focusing on Religion, Ethics and Politics at HDS. She is from Vancouver, Canada.
Prabhroop graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours of Bachelor of Social Sciences in International Development and Globalization in 2020, and a Masters of Arts in International Affairs, with a focus in Diplomacy and Foreign Policy from the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at Carleton University in 2021.
During her time in Ottawa, she was a Senate Page for two years, and later continued to work at the Senate of Canada in various roles. She also worked as Junior Political and Public Affairs Officer in Vientiane at the Office of the Embassy of Canada in Laos. Her other experiences include being a Teaching Assistant during her first Masters at NPSIA. In her first year at Harvard, Prabhroop worked at the HDS Office of Development and External Relations. Currently, she is working at the United States Institute of Peace as a visiting student scholar.
Some of her interests outside of school include fashion, travelling, eating Ben & Jerry's ice cream and chocolate cake, and collecting fun stationery.
Shreya Verma, Harvard Extension School,
Shreya Verma is a current studnet at the Harvard Extension School
Shreya is from India and worked as the public sector consultant with Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. Shreya completedher undergrad in Philosophy Hons Applied Psychology & Post Graduate program in Development management.
Shreya loves to organize events and experiences and firmly believes that interactions/ conversations elicited through events help people build relationships, understand different perspectives, collaborate, and engage with diverse cultures. Specifically, Shreya enjoys the realm of student governments and politics greatly.
As for her time outside of the student council, Shreya is an avid dancer. Shreya has the ability to dance for up to 8 hours but find her self sleeping mulitple hours and still feeling tired. Likewise, Shreya is keen on both traveling and exploring new places while also partaking in cooking during her free time.
