Shankar Ravi is pursuing his Masters at Harvard Graduate school of Education studying Learning Design, Innovation and Technology. Prior to Harvard, they were a fellow with Teach For India and taught high-school students hailing from the slums of Mumbai.  In addition to bridging academic outcomes they also worked in developing student leadership and critical consciousness.  Shankar has worked with Leading with Pride, an organization focusing on program development to build leadership in early career for LGBTQ+ individuals in India.  They believe that all our intersectional identities play a part in accessing education, and systems should be designed through the lens of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.

As Chair of Student Groups, they aim to support, build agency and belonging through the student community. They believe this will ensure all of us have a space to grow through our shared interests. Shankar has previous experience in leading their student government  serving as the Deputy General Secretary,  working in the past to strengthen student voice and advocacy.

Shankar has received their Bachelors of Science majoring in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai and completed their postgraduate degree in Social Entrepreneurship from NMIMS, India.
