The Harvard Votes Challenge is a nonpartisan initiative that strives to build a civic culture at Harvard University by increasing voter registration and participation among students, staff, and faculty.

Harvard Graduate Council (HGC) endorses the efforts to empower the Harvard University community to exercise their right to vote and supports the Harvard Votes Challenge. The HGC is commited to helping create a civic culture at Harvard University through university-wide efforts including but not limited to hosting voter focused events, disseminating information and communications, leading individual HVC efforts on each campus, convening and sponsoring university leaders in furthering  efforts to promote voting
